2017

New years resolutions. We all make them whether we like to admit it or not, some we stick to and some (most) not. 2016 had its ups and downs like every year but I was blessed with good health and a new job. Things are looking better. I have made some New Years resolutions that I plan on sticking to and working towards. I usually make the same one: lose weight. I spend several months working on it, become lazy, and give up. Well this year's resolutions are not just about me.

Be Healthier

No, not lose weight because I honestly don't think being beautiful has anything to do with size, but how you feel on the inside. What I have done is become honest with myself by admitting I don't have the healthiest diet. I teach my children to eat veggies and drink water but what I should be doing is leading by example. I do eat veggies but I am Latino and rice, bread, and carbs are things I end up eating a lot. Not the healthiest things to eat when you have to run after little ones. So eating healthier is a step into the new year.

Reduce my stress

Over the last couple years my stress levels have been at an all time high. Personal issues as well as a family, full-time job, being a full-time student, and trying to blog can make my anxiety go through the roof at times. Yoga and meditation have helped a lot. Yoga has been something my oldest likes to do with me when I have time to squeeze it in. Helping with homework, getting meals ready, and making it on time to pick up the tiny people make it seem like there aren't enough hours in the day and I must say that I slacked a lot on yoga this past year. This year I will be better at managing my daily schedule to ensure that yoga and meditation is in my routine.

Communication

My relationship is completely different then any I have ever had. We were, and continue to be, best friends. We rely on our communication on a daily basis. We both brought two children each into the relationship and have one of our own. Parenting over the last couple of years has been a learning process. Even though we both knew the types of parents we were, doing it together is a completely different thing. Every morning we TRY to have coffee together to talk about the day ahead and at night we spend at least an hour or two talking to each other about what our day. Even when upset or hurt we talk it out. It's been a reason why we continue to work. Continuing this into the new year is important.

Work harder on marketing myself and my blog

Even though I do write on a daily basis, it usually stays in my draft folder and end up deleted. I plan, with the help of my Boo (hubby, lol) to post a good blog as often as everyday to every other day. Making it my mission to better know what you would like to read and share my opinions and life with you.

So, what are your resolutions?
