Skin Care Routine

My skin can be a little bi-polar, during the fall and going into the winter season my skin becomes dry. I find that not only my face but parts of my body get dry patches too.  I know a little TMI (too much info) but where else can I be honest about this type of stuff than here. When I was younger and going thru puberty my mother never really explained how moisturizing and washing my face would help with acne. I had a friends mother explain to me how things worked. My mom was in her 60's when this was going on, so I don't blame her.  As I got older and learned more about how my skin was and how it reacted to some products and that time of the month it helped me better understand how to treat my skin.

The skin routine I continue to have doesn't change much, I do change products every now and then but it usually stays the same. Except in the summer and spring when my skin changes. Below is my current skin routine along with the products I use.

In the Morning:
Facial cleanser  First Aid Beauty Cleanser
Cream moisturizer CeraVe Moisturizer
coconut oil Crisco Organic Coconut Oil

In the Evening:
I remove all my makeup using coconut oil, then I use my facial cleanser. After my face is skin is clean I use NEUTROGENA Alcohol-Free Toner I give my skin about 5min to air dry and then I use CeraVe Moisturizing Facial Lotion PM.

During the spring and going into summer my T-zone is like an oil pit. My upper lip is gets oily too, I always keep blotting strips in my bag where ever I go. My skin routine is pretty much exactly the same as fall and winter except I use a mattifying moisturizer. The one I would recommend is Formula Ten O Six Seriously Shine-Free Moisturizers I tried a sample from a friend and have been hooked. The use of coconut oil in my routine minimizes to only at night.

My body has combination skin, I have always moisturizer my body with body oils. Drinking water on a daily basis to keep my body and skin hydrated is extremely important.

What do you do to keep your skin clean?
