Family Spring/Summer Favorites

Summer is knocking on our door and with spring in the air, all the kids want to do is be outside. When my oldest was born I had no clue what went into preparing for summer outings. I had family and friends telling me what to buy and what not waste my money on when it came to products.

I stocked up on sunscreen, bug repellent and anti itch cream. Not only did I want make sure she was protected, I wanted the best so spending the cash wasn't an issue. Now, with  five kids makes you conscientious on what your spending money on. How could you Not?

Below are a list of products that we always carry on hand when the spring/summer weather comes along.

1. Neutrogena Wet Skin kids sunscreen spray: This sunscreen is one that has worked with the kids, it doesn't leave a greasy film on the kids and is great for when the kids take a trip to the sprinklers, pools or beach also it has SPF of 70.

2.  Neutrogena Wet Skin Kids Stick Sunscreen: I purchase this to keep in my purse especially for those summer days when it is cloudy and rainy, then all the sudden the sun is shining.

3.  Travel First Aid Kit: it is a staple  in any families bag, with five kids and three under three it is a must for me. I usually buy three of these just to have a back up in every bag, the diaper bag, my purse and in the stroller.

4. Avon SSS Bug Guard Spray: We have tried some brand and this is the one we trust and continue to purchase. It does not leave any residue on the kids clothing or there skin, also does not have a strong smell.

5. Superband Premium Insect Repellent Bracelet: We use the spray every morning to give them a full cover but using the bracelets give them an added protection. We like these because it doesn't irritate the kids clothing and is 100% DEET free, an added bonus the kids like the colors.

6. AMK Kids' After Bite: For any mosquito's that get passed we use this and it works!  I carry one on me all year round just in case.

7. Extra Clothing! With the sprinklers and the falls in dirt or grass at the park, even the ice cream stops. One, Two, three or all will need a change of cloths, so I pack an extra outfit if our time outdoors is going to be long.

8.  Small Travel Cooler and Water Bottles: I don't know about your kids, nephews, nieces and grand kids, but I have one that would ask for juice before asking for water. I always pack a water bottle for each one so they all drink water. Staying hydrated is always important when traveling especially during the warmer, weather.
