New Covergirl Products
New products have been hitting the shelves at drugs stores. In today's post we will be discussing new makeup products from Covergirl. They recently sent me two lipsticks, liner and a shadow/ highlight duo pod, who doesn't love trying out new makeup products.
While at CVS I saw this display and was so excited to add this to the new Covergirl products I had been trying out. I purchased their new Vitalist Healthy Elixir foundation, this foundation has SPF and vitamins infused in the foundation.
I was surprised that the foundation wasn't as thick as some full coverage foundation tend to be, which is what this foundation claims to be. The foundation smells amazing and feels good on the skin. It isn't as full coverage as is saying until you build up the product. The below photo is after two layers. It dries to a soft glow and looks good on the skin, I would recommend setting with powder.
in the package I received from Covergirl was the liner below. It is part of the Katy Perry Pearl collection it's called the Katy Kat eye liner in the shade Purrmaid. The eye liner glides on smooth and the color payoff is great, with a smugger at the end for added dimention. It is such a beautiful color that I have warm with Smokey been eye look and as a pop of color with a neutral eye look.
These lipsticks are great colors for Spring and Summer, the formula is creamy and has a satin finish. The pigment is beautiful and it dosen't have a bad smell. The color on the right is called Blue-tiful Kitty and the left is Apricat. I have warn Apricat and love the shade. I haven't warn Blue-tiful outside, waiting for date night to ware it out but the color payoff is amazing and love the way it looks on the lips.
Katy Perry also included in the collection a Shadow & Highlighter Duo Pod in the shade Tiger's eye. As a shadow its amazing, when placing on bare skin like in the photo its a beautiful highlight. On foundation it isn't this pigment but the glow is soft and subtle. In the end I would use this more as a eyeshadow, then, a highlighter.
Overall, I am a fan of the new Covergirl products. I am also excited for all the new products that have been hitting the shelves at drug stores.
