My Most Embarrassing Moments As A Mom
I don't stress as much as when I was a new mom but even now I still have embarrassing moments. One that really sticks out was with my first. We were on the train on our way back from visiting family in when I smelled poop. I ran out of wipes while cleaning her in the bathroom so I stuck her tush in the sink and cleaned her that way. Yes, not one of my proudest moments but hey, I needed to get her clean.
I put a clean diaper on her, cleaned the sink, packed up the diaper bag, and made our way back our seat. After sitting there for a bit I heard the man sitting behind us say he smelled poop. The woman sitting with him said that it was probably the little girl, my daughter, so I checked her diaper. Nothing.
After a while I started to smell it too so I checked her diaper again. Nothing. I'd washed them and they were clean but I checked my hands. Nothing again. We got off the train and the smell was still around. I could not for the life of me figure out where it was coming from. As I walked out of the station a little boy pointed at me and said "you have chocolate on your face!" That's right. It was me. I smelled like poop. I had smeared poop on my face while cleaning my daughter and did not realize it. I ran to the nearest bathroom and washed my face. I was so embarrassed.
That was a lesson I have never forgotten. Always check your face for poop after cleaning your kids tush.
