Mask for days
I wasn't such a big fan facial mask, the idea that something was on my face and I had to leave it gave me a bit of anxiety in itself. As the years have gone by, the idea of dry skin and wrinkles have me more anxious than ever. Skincare is an important thing for most women and some men. One place I absolutely love to go to purchase any natural thing for my body is at the Lush store. When you first walk in your greeted by the lovely staff, to then admire all the beautifully displayed items.
I have tried on in the past to get the hubby to wear a mask just so he can somewhat understand the importance that I was trying to express to him. Not only did he laugh in my face but now when I put on a mask he will look at me waiting to see if I would ask him to try it out. The best thing I can do to explain is having him feel my face when the mask is done. lol "Hey love feel my face!" I would tell him. He again would laugh and tell me my face was either soft or smooth. I honestly think he can't tell the difference, and he's just trying to shut me up.
But anyway, masks have become such a staple in my skincare regimen, I find myself putting a mask on my face every other day. My all-time f As a busy mom who wouldn't want some at home spa time. Heck, I know I don't actually have time to go to the spa. My top favorite has been from the Lush. Their mask has never steered me wrong, a friend laughed at me and thought I was breaking bank buying mask at Lush. Little did she know that for 5 ounces of product I was spending $15 and she was spending about $79 on her Glam Glow mask which was only about 3 ounces of product. I have recommended and gifted these to friends, so they can try them out.
My favorite ones that I continue to purchase is the Mask of Magnaminty and the Cup O'Coffee. The Cup O' Coffee smells absolutely delish especially if you're a coffee addict like myself. Infused with fresh coffee grounds, kaolin and agave syrup your skin feels refreshed and smooth the grounds help smooth the skin by scrubbing away the dryness. This mask can be used on your face and on your body, 15 minutes and your feeling fresh and awaken. The Mask of Magnanimity has a minty smell which in a way reminds me of toothpaste which wakes up the skin and your senses. These masks are applied by smoothing over skin whether that's your face or body, leave for 15 minutes then rinse off.
Recently I dove into their Jelly Face Mask which is solely for the face, these are more powerful in scent, I wanted to give them all a try but couldn't. Not that they smelled bad, it was just not for me. The Just to Clarify mask smells of citrus, which could be the fact that it has orange juice, fresh papaya. This mask will give you that glow from within, like a pregnant woman lol. The Fomo jelly mask helps with redness which during the summer for some reason I have. Fomo is infused with rose and calamine powder, for me the smell of this one is of lavender and rose which helps me put to sleep. I will use this one at night right before hopping in a nice warm shower. With the jelly mask its recommended to rub a scoopful of the jelly in your palm to warm it up then apply to the face, leave for 10 minutes then wash off.
It amazes me how natural these are, also the fact that they are handmade. Each jar/ bottle you get has a sticker that lets you know exactly by who and when it was made along with a use by date. The Perk is also that the Cup O'Coffee, Fomo and Just to Clarify are Vegan and Self preserving. Another perk is that when you bring in 5 empty jars with the recycle label you get a free mask. Who doesn't like free stuff lol, definitely a must buy and a recommended brand and company.
