Current Makeup Routine (Updated)

I love makeup so much but lately I’ve been having the strange feeling that I don’t want to wear so much of it. Believe that all beauty influencers find themselves in a rut on what to film or play with to create new eye looks. Some of them manage to go above and beyond and they look amazing. This past year, with me leaving my job and focusing my time on the kids and my family, I’ve improved my foundation routine, contour, blush, highlight and even my eyeshadow. Which I am honestly so happy about.

As you can see from above left to right I’ve started using less eyeshadow and have spent my time focusing on my skin. I still love eyeshadow and play with all the pallets my budget will allow me to; however, I find myself only wearing eyeshadow when I have a meeting or when I am heading out to dinner with the hubby or with friends. Before I used to wear eyeshadow every day, it was as if it was built into my daily routine. Now, I am feeling more comfortable with my own skin that I feel like I don’t have to wear eyeshadow.

My current routine is my moisturizer, MAC Fix Plus Prep and Prime Spray, foundation for which - surprisingly - I like using a kabuki brush instead of my beauty blender. I apply my concealer, alternating between my Tarte shape tape contour concealer and my L'Oreal Infallible Full Wear. I set my under-eye and contour and bronze with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit. The Blush I have been obsessing over is my Tarte Make Every Moment Count Cheek Palette. The Highlighter that I can’t put down is my OFRA Rodeo Drive Highlighter and my brows are always Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. After that I set my face with the MAC Fix Plus. Sounds like a lot when I type this out.

It takes me about 10 minutes to get my makeup on. Come on, if you had to get three kids ready in the morning and get them to school you would want to get your makeup done in 10 minutes! lol
