Let’s Talk Dyson
Over the last few years I’ve been letting my hair grow back. To ensure that it grows truly healthy and strong. I’ve made sure to not use products that can damage it. As it is, this has turned out to be quite an investment. I’ve been thinking that if I’m willing to make such an investment in the products I use on my hair, then maybe I should also invest in the tools I use on my hair as well.
One night I couldn’t sleep so I laid in bed while Juan was softly snoring and I browsed through the Ulta website for hair tools (keyword “tools”). I wanted to buy a blow dryer and a curling wand. Now I must confess, most of the hair tools that I have owned I have bought at beauty supply stores and stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Nordstrom Rack. These tools do the job fine but wouldn’t last. What I wanted was something that I would have for a long time and wouldn’t burn out on me after a couple of months or a year. This seems to be a trend that I have been finding myself on lately; being willing to spend a bit more for a better product that will last me instead of buying cheaper ones every once in a while.
Dyson, as some of you know, is considered a luxury brand. Their home electronic products usually sell for well over $500. So what do you expect when you hear that Dyson has made hair tools? A significant investment. Oh, how that hurt!
After a some time using it, I can honestly sat that I am happy that I made the investment. Initially, my hair didn’t dry like some blow dryers. I watched a couple of YouTube videos to figure out why. It turns out I was holding it wrong. Once I fixed that… WOW! My hair didn’t feel like it was getting fried and blow drying was seamless. I love using the defussor for my curls.
If you have the money to spend I would say give this a shot. I don’t regret a dime spent on this.
