Mixed Berry Scones
Can I confess something?
The smell of baked goods sends me to my happy place.
I love seeing my family enjoy the things I bake for them, whether it is cookies, muffins, cupcakes, cakes, or anything else. These Mixed berry scones were a hit with the kids. It was actually simple, I thought making scones was going to be a difficult process but it was actually pretty easy.
“If baking is any labor at all, it’s a labor of love. A love that gets passed from generation to generation.”

The ingredients needed are:
1 cup Butter,
1 cup Cold Buttermilk.
1 cup Frozen mixed berries,
1 Large egg,
1 tsp Vanilla,
2 tsp Baking powder,
1/2 tsp Kosher salt,
2 cups All purpose flour.
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While your oven is preheating, You can either cut your cold butter into cubes or you can grate your butter. Whisk all the dry ingredients together (flour, baking powder, salt) When dry ingredients are mixed together you want to add in your butter. In a separate bowl mix your wet ingredients to your dry. Add your mixed berries in last. You will end up with a crumbly dough, kneed the dough till everything is combined. Shape your dough on a lightly floured surface to make an 8” round circle.
Once you have made your circle and cut your desired triangles. Place your triangles on a baking sheet about an inch apart (You can brush your triangles with milk and sprinkle some sugar on top but this is optional) and bake for 20 minutes. When they are done let them cool for 5 minutes and enjoy.
