Budget friendly face masks
Over the last two weeks I have spent time thinking about what to blog about next. I was sitting on the sofa with my oldest watching PBS Kids, wearing a face mask. She looked at me and said "Mom, why don't you write about you face?" I laughed and said "Thank you!"
I know there are so many masks that can be on the pricey side. Take the Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask, for example. It is $80.00 at Sephora's (but $36 on amazon) and yes, it feels amazing but you can have great looking skin on a budget.
My face masks are budget friendly. I use Daylogic face masks. They are $1.99 at your local Rite Aid store. They make four:
Glow (Sheet Mask)
Illuminate (Gel Eye Mask)
Rejuvenate (Sheet Mask)
Bright eyes (Gel Eye mask)
The Glow mask will help minimize pores. It smells good too due to the Tea Tree extract. I use this face mask once a week, usually on Sunday.
The Rejuvenate cream mask moisturizes dry skin and is infused with coconut oil. Coconut oil is great for almost everything, especially the skin. This mask should be kept on for 15 minutes. I like to leave it on for an extra 5 min when my skin is feeling extra dry. After removing the mask I rinse my face with warm water and apply a pea size amount of coconut oil on my face for some added moisture.
I use the eye masks once a week, depending on what I need. The Illuminate eye mask deflates puffiness. I use it after a night of not sleeping much because of a crying baby. I leave it on as directed and it does wonders. Not only does my under eye not look like death but I look rested.
The Bright Eyes reduces dark circles under your eyes. It leaves my under eyes feeling tingly and less dark. I left them on longer than directed once and my skin ended up feeling overly dry. So now I just leave them on as directed.
These masks are great when you are on a budget. I am always looking for affordable skin care products that actually work. I recommend these to friends and family when in need of some skin care.
Skin care is important, whether you wear makeup or not. Keeping the face clean and moisturized can eliminate acne and help with oily skin.
Keep a look out for a post on my skin care routine where I'll go over which products I use on a daily basis, which products I have tried and that left my skin feeling bad, and also which moisturizers I recommend my friends and family use.
