Bedtime Stories

Bedtime in our home seems to be the easiest time of day.  It is actually one of my favorite parts of the day and not (just, lol) because the kids are in bed. It's a time when we are all calm and ready to read a story. I let the kids choose the bedtime story for that night and we cuddle up together and read a book.

Every Monday on my lunch break I take a walk to the Library and check books out so we can read at bed time. Some are books that have become a staple in our weekly reading and some are new stories. This has made my Mondays less mundane. Being in a quiet library to pick books out for the kids brings a smile to my face.

Reading to them and watching their faces change with the story, whether it's shock from a pirates tale or pure joy from finding treasure, melts my heart.

Whether you have one child or a bunch give reading bedtime stories a try and you will see how much you will love it. Maybe even more than they do.
