Facial Oils
Facial Oils, what's the hype? I was at Ulta this couple weeks ago and overheard the employees mentioning that it was important to put facial oils on the skin instead of moisturizer. I couldn't help myself, but think instead? I didn't want to ask so I just kept walking. I came home after my tiny haul. which I will be in a later post. I needed desperately to read up on whether she was right or wrong.
After spending about several hour reading blog posts and magazine articles on facial oils and serums. According to Allure magazine "Put them on dry areas after creams — as a rule, oils can penetrate moisturizers, but not vice versa." I knew that I personally love facial oils and serums, I use them every day. To be completely honest I wasn't such a fan of skincare when I was younger, I didn't understand what the purpose was and how to accurately use them.
Facial oils can be beneficial to all skin types in my option. When applying foundations to the skin if you want a glowing look and don't want to use a luminizing foundationmix a couple drops with your foundation and apply as usual. The foundation will look glowing and leave your face not looking oily.
If you don't want to go crazy on spending an arm and a leg to buy facial oils and serums I would recommend these three brands. Valjean labs and Pearlessence are two that you can find at Urbanoutfitters and your local Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I like these mainly because they have different types for what you're looking for in serum. The two that I use more is the Rosehip balancing oil and Argan + Vitamin E nursing oil from Pearlessence. From Valjean labs, I use the Glow that contains Vitamin C + Magnesium and the Restore with Niacinamide + Zinc. If you don't have time to go to any of these stores and your local drug store is where you buy most of your beauty supplies from I would say give the brand Oil Essentials a go. They smell great and leave your skin looking flawless.
If you want to go a little bankrupt on skin care than the brands for you are Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate, Farsali- Rose Gold Elixar, and Vintner's Daughter- Botanical Serum all cost a more than the above but you will not be sorry. The Farsali drops with some foundation give the skin an amazing glow. It is entirely up to you and what your preference and budget are.
Hope this helps
